Gravel's grandfather started the Stitchgash clan when he decided to become a chirurgeon. He left Thorin (some say he was exiled) and ended up in Quivera, acting as a medic for a mercenary band. He arranged for Gravel to attend a human University to learn medicine; thus, he's had a formal and extensive education.
Gravel is currently studying about the Mace of Kings and practicing medicine in Collossum, Thorin. He keeps in touch with Jordan of Veldron regarding his findings, if any.
